Mini Tirumala (TTD) Temple in Hyderabad, Telangana, India

In March of 2019, a new temple dedicated to Lord Venkateswara opened in the Jubilee Hills area of Hyderabad.  The city of Hyderabad has many temples… so you may wonder why I am focusing on this particular one.  Well, if you follow the Hindu culture, one of the main temples to visit is the Lord Venkateswara Temple (also known as Balaji Temple) located in the city of Tirumala in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

Traveling to Tirumala and visiting the temple there requires a lot of planning.  The nearest airport is located in the city of Tirupati and from there you can walk up or travel either by car or bus to reach the hilltop temple in Tirumala.  It is always crowded and unless you have access to special tickets (which are very hard to come by), you have to wait for several hours before you are able to visit the inside of the temple.  This is where the magic in the temple located in Hyderabad lies… easily accessible and built by the same Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) management.

Mini Tirumala Temple Architecture

The architecture of the mini Tirumala temple is also very similar to that of the main Tirumala temple.  The idol of Lord Venkateswara is absolutely stunning.  As you walk around the main temple, you will notice that even the outside is very similar to the main Tirumala temple.  There is incredible magic in the atmosphere.

Mini Tirumala Temple Location

Perched on top of a hill, you can enjoy beautiful views of Hyderabad from the entrance.  When there aren’t that many people (like on a Tuesday morning), the entrance is very easily accessible from the side parking lot.  If you are upto it, you can park in the lower parking lot and walk up the stairs that lead to the entrance.

Bottomline

For most people, visiting the main Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala is not feasible due to any number of challenges.  While there is no substitution to visiting the main temple, it feels really good that there is temple that has a similar vibe and is easily accessible and a lot less crowded.  Sincere thanks to the TTD board for building the temple in Hyderabad!

So, if you happen to be in Hyderabad or visiting Hyderabad, do make it a point to visit the Lord Venkateswara Temple (TTD) in Jubilee Hills!

Upper parking lot with steps adjacent to it that lead towards the temple area

Update: For people looking to minimize step climbing, there is a parking lot next to the office. To reach this parking lot, you continue past the first car park and you will find the entrance after the office building. As per office officials, devotees can make use of the battery operated vehicle to reach the complex entrance from the parking lot. The video shows the path briefly.

I am sorry I did not pay close attention for a ramp. I went there again about 2 months ago. This is what I recall. Park in the higher parking lot (I.e take the road further up to the second parking lot). The stairs there are a lot fewer and the height of the stairs is smaller as well. You have to climb a few stairs (less than 10) to enter the main temple area.
Thank you for asking this question. I will try to visit again in the next few weeks and will provide a better answer.
The best part is that when you go on a weekday, it is very peaceful and you can enjoy the atmosphere thoroughly.
